Canada coaching staff for 2026 Olympics to include Cassidy, DeBoer, Tocchet
Tocchet was hired as coach of the Philadelphia Flyers on May 14. He spent the previous three seasons as coach of the Vancouver Canucks, winning the Jack Adams Award in 2024. He is 286-265-87 in nine seasons with the Canucks, Arizona Coyotes and Lightning. Cooper was named coach for the 4 Nations Face-Off and the Olympics on June 25, 2024.
Rick Tocchet Named Assistant Coach for Team Canada at 2026 Olympics
Now, Tocchet can add a new event to his resume: the Olympics. Tocchet was named an assistant coach for Team Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Jon Cooper will be the head coach. Tocchet joins Pete DeBoer, Bruce Cassidy, and Misha Donskov as assistant coaches on the staff.
