With questions having risen about the futures of both Kentucky coach Mark Stoops and Auburn head man Hugh Freeze in their current positions, Sumrall, the Tulane head coach, is being linked with both potential vacancies. Sumrall’s ties to Kentucky are that he is a former Wildcats player and assistant coach.

After weeks of disappointment, growing concerns over the state of their offensive capabilities, and questions about the future of Head Coach Hugh Freeze, the Tigers left Razorback Stadium Saturday with their first SEC win of the season.

Hugh Freeze will review film before deciding between Jackson Arnold, who started strong but threw a pick-six, and Ashton Daniels, who led the Tigers' 33-24 comeback victory.
