A 10th person has died in the aftermath of the fire at the Gabriel House in Fall River, Massachusetts. Brenda Cropper, 66, had been hospitalized in critical condition since the Sunday fire.Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced Cropper's death on Thursday.
The Bristol County DA reported the update Friday saying, "it was due to a miscommunication with a medical agency."

Gov. Healey has announced measures to enhance safety at assisted living facilities in the wake of a fire that killed at least nine people.
A Massachusetts assisted-living center where nine residents died in a fire was cited for failing to immediately report more than two dozen health and safety incidents.
There’s no doubt in my mind that that fire was destined to kill 50-plus people,” Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon said Wednesday.
The cause of the deadly fire at the Gabriel House assisted living home in Fall River, Massachusetts is still unknown.
More than 75 percent of Gabriel House residents are enrolled in Medicaid, state officials have said, and it charges significantly less than a typical assisted living facility does for private-paying patients.
