According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded to reports of a collision in the intersection of Third Avenue and Palomar Street around 5:20 p.m. Once on scene, police discovered a 42-year-old man had been struck by a silver 2012 Nissan Leaf. He was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.
