Roope Hintz scored two goals for the second time in the last eight games giving him a team-high 18 goals as the Dallas Stars beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 on Thursday night.

Roope Hintz scored twice, including the tiebreaking goal midway through the second period, and the stingy Dallas Stars won their third straight, 4-2 over the visiting Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.

Hintz has carried the Dallas offense with seven goals in his last eight games and is on pace to set a new career high in goals.

Still without Linus Ullmark, whose back tightened up in a game against Edmonton on Dec. 22, the Senators had three netminders — Anton Forsberg, Mads Sogaard and Leevi Merilainen — on the ice at Wednesday’s practice in Dallas.
