Trump's Office of Personnel Management ordered all federal employees in DEI roles to be placed on leave by Wednesday evening.

The move Tuesday followed a related executive order from Trump accusing former President Joe Biden of forcing “discrimination” programs into “virtually all aspects of the federal government” through “diversity, equity and inclusion” programs, known as DEI.

The Trump administration is planning to lay off all federal employees who worked in a diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility office as of this past Election Day and has instructed agencies to immediately place such workers on paid administrative leave.

Employees of diversity, equity and inclusion programs are to be placed on administrative leave by 5 p.m. Wednesday. Agencies were told to make plans for layoffs.
