Delta Air Lines ( NYSE: DAL) will launch its first-ever nonstop service between Atlanta and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, beginning this month. The route will mark Delta's ( NYSE: DAL) debut in Saudi Arabia and represents a significant expansion into the Middle East. The new flight will operate three times a week using the airline’s Airbus A350-900.

However, Delta CEO Ed Bastian has conceded that Americans are still “not quite sure” about visiting Saudi Arabia and admitted that the route's popularity will “start slow,” while speaking at the Fortune Global Forum.
