Those are the themes of this week’s mailbag after the San Francisco 49ers added a pair of defensive ends, Keion White and Clelin Ferrell, to the active roster and practice squad, respectively. Both practiced on Wednesday in their new jerseys: No. 56 for White and No. 96 for Ferrell.

On Wednesday, the 49ers officially acquired defensive end Keion White from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2026 sixth- and seventh-round pick. White isn't a player who's going to move the needle drastically. He's been irrelevant this year due to his poor fit with the new Patriots regime under head coach Mike Vrabel.
