The Los Angeles Dodgers put starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow on the 15-day injured list Monday, one day after he lasted just one inning before being pulled with right shoulder discomfort. The Dodgers said Glasnow was diagnosed with shoulder inflammation.

After giving up two runs in the first inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, Glasnow was removed from the game with what the Dodgers later called right shoulder discomfort. He went out for his warm up pitches before summoning manager Dave Roberts and a trainer. He then left the game and was replaced by Ben Casparius .

Right-hander Tyler Glasnow has been placed on the 15-day injured list by the Los Angeles Dodgers with right shoulder inflammation in the latest setback for the defending World Series champions’ perpetually injury-plagued pitching staff.
