The Los Angeles Dodgers sparked a frenzy Sunday evening announcing two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani will make his long-awaited first start from the mound in Dodger blue on Monday night.

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani will return to the mound for the first time since 2023, with a start against the San Diego Padres on Monday in Los Angeles, the team announced.

The team announced the two-way star will take the bump Monday against the San Diego Padres, but ESPN's Alden Gonzalez reported he's likely to only throw one or two innings "in what will basically amount to a continuation of his rehab."
