The Supreme Court is considering a case of “reverse discrimination” and the standard of proof under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday appeared poised to side with an Ohio woman in her bid to revive a lawsuit alleging "reverse discrimination" after she said she was denied a promotion and demoted because she is straight.

Marlean Ames, 60, an employee at Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility, contends gay applicants were unfairly given promotions that she sought.
