Update: Monte Fire in San Diego County at 25% containment
Monte Fire initially started 2:59 p.m. June 17 in San Diego County, California. Since its discovery 39 hours ago, it has burned 976 acres. By Thursday morning, a fire crew of 433 effectively contained 25% of the fire. However, investigations into the cause are ongoing.
