Ahead of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, Washington appears to be a team that will likely stand pat rather than make significant moves.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice could receive an NFL fine for throwing the ball at the head of Commanders safety Quan Martin in Week 8.
Last year, his first with the Commanders, Ertz caught seven passes (his highest single-season total since 2019) while helping Washington reach its first NFC title game since 1991. He already has a team high four touchdown receptions this year and is second to only Deebo Samuel for the team lead in receptions and receiving yards.
Washington was routed 28–7 by the Chiefs on Monday night to fall to 3–5 on the season and has minimal draft capital to improve its outlook.
Fair to say the Seahawks have overachieved to date on the season as they sit tied with the Rams atop the NFC West while its also fair to say the Commanders have underachieved as they sit one game out of last in the NFC East.
