Marseille reach ‘agreement in principle’ to sign England midfielder Angel Gomes - Gomes is set to become a free agent when his contract with another French side in Lille expires at the end of this month.

As he comes off contract at Lille, the former Manchester United midfielder will join OM on July 1. Gomes scored 10 goals and provided 19 assists in 134 appearances for Lille. He joined LOSC from United in 2020. An England international, Gomes will join former United teammate Mason Greenwood at OM.

Angel Gomes is set to join Marseille after leaving fellow French side Lille. The former Manchester United youngster, who has won four caps for England, had been linked with West Ham and Tottenham but has opted for Marseille, where he will link up with another former United player in Mason Greenwood.
