NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators scored six straight goals to come back from down four to win 7-5 against the San Jose Sharks at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday. It was the first four-goal comeback for the Predators in their history.

Nick Blankenburg scored at 8:09 of the third to lead the Nashville Predators to a 7-5 comeback victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night. Jonathan Marchessault had a goal and three assists, Tommy Novak scored and had two assists and Fedor Svechkov,

The Sharks had a 5-1 lead with 16:32 left in the second period. Nashville then came all the way back and won the game for their fourth straight. Prior to tonight, Nashville had never come back to win a regular season game after being down four goals.

The loss marked a crushing end to the Sharks’ five-game road trip, which began with an encouraging win over the Detroit Red Wings last Tuesday and was quickly followed by losses to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the New York Islanders, and the Boston Bruins.

At one point on Tuesday night, the Predators trailed by four goals. Until they didn’t.

Team captain Roman Josi tied the game on a crushing, power-play slapshot with 14:37 left in the third period, defenseman Nick Blankenburg gave the Preds their first lead — 6-5 — with a wrist shot from the face-off circle three minutes later, and Filip Forsberg’s empty-net goal with 1:21 remaining sealed a remarkable comeback.

The Nashville Predators erased a four-goal deficit for the first time in franchise history to rally past the San Jose Sharks, 7-5, Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena.
