Popular freeze-dried fruit snacks sold at Sam’s Club are being recalled because of possible listeria contamination. Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, LLC is recalling some 15-count boxes of “Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack” after internal testing found the presence of Listeria monocytogenes,

Do not consume the recalled products, as Listeria infection can be very serious or even fatal. The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall on freeze-dried fruit sold at Sam’s Club warehouses in 42 states.

Listeria monocytogenes [is] an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems," the FDA said.
