Michigan coach Sherrone Moore spoke in his postgame comments following the 27-24 win over USC Football that the Wolverines "knew they could generate yards" in their running attack. Michigan cruised to 291 rushing yards against the Trojans' defense.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football appeared to be going backwards and USC was still reveling in its Week 1 win over a potentially overhyped LSU team. Still, the Wolverines had lost to Texas in Week 2 and the Trojans were flying high coming into Ann Arbor for their first-ever Big Ten game.

Sherrone Moore is a former University of Oklahoma offensive lineman who became a coach after his playing days and wound up with Jim Harbaugh 's Wolverines as a tight ends coach, offensive line coach, offensive coordinator and now head coach.
