The U.S. Supreme Court has announced it won’t hear an appeal from the state of Montana, attempting to revive a state law that would have required parental consent before a minor could get an abortion.

Planned Parenthood North Central States, which covers Minnesota, said that nothing will change in Minnesota for the 22,000 patients who sought care using Medicaid in the wake of the Supreme Court's Thursday ruling.

The dispute arose from a long-running effort by the state to block the reproductive health care group from receiving Medicaid funds.
