Pelicans star Zion Williamson wants to put the league on notice for this upcoming NBA season. The All-Star forward, who has been hampered by injuries since being taken with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft,

Zion Williamson shared his thoughts on winning back the New Orleans Pelicans' trust and his desire to become better in the coming season.

Williamson told William Guillory of The Athletic, “This s*** can’t happen anymore,” and dedicated himself toward putting in the work and being new season where he gets mentioned with the game’s elite. “I’m out for straight vengeance,” Williamson said. “Not against any particular person. Just for myself.”

Zion Williamson has struggled for availability throughout his young career. The former Duke standout missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a fracture in his right foot and also has two seasons with less than 30 games played.

Zion Williamson received heavy backlash for his poor showing in his team's loss against the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 In-Season tournament semifinals. Zion scored only 13 points on eight shots in that game while grabbing just three rebounds in 26 minutes of action.
