A worker at an auto parts store was shot and critically hurt Tuesday night in Brooklyn Park, leaving police and the community searching for answers.

Police searched for the suspect, but did not find one, and said the motive for the shooting is unclear.

The shooting happened Tuesday around 9 p.m. on the 7700 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.

The shooting happened near Xerxes Avenue North and 56th Avenue North.

Police haven't announced any arrests or potential motives yet.
