A Powerball player in Kansas won $50,000 but just missed the $154 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four of five winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, Feb. 12, the Kansas Lottery said.

Two California Powerball players narrowly missed the $154 million jackpot but still won big prizes. The lottery players won $24,134 each during the Feb. 12 drawing, according to the California Lottery. Both of their tickets matched four out of the five winning numbers and the red Powerball.
