The federal government has taken legal action to obtain records tied to the tour bus driver involved in the deadly I‑95 crash in northern Virginia.

The New York bus driver charged in a Virginia crash that killed five Massachusetts residents admitted on Tuesday to driving 22 miles over the speed limit in a separate incident earlier this year.

Five people — including a family of four — were killed in the incident, and about 44 people were transported to area hospitals, three with critical injuries.
