Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions 29–24 on the road Sunday as Detroit's postseason hopes continued to fade.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of run game and a lack of offense in the third quarter, the game came down to a last second drive where a controversial offensive pass interference negated a Jared Goff touchdown via lateral. The Lions fell to the Steelers 29-24.
Jared Goff took a similar approach, crediting the referees for having a tough job, but saying he felt the first one on Isaac TeSlaa was more open “to interpretation.” TeSlaa was called for the penalty as Amon-Ra St. Brown caught what would have been the go-ahead 1-yard touchdown with 25 seconds left.
