Ventura's husband, Alex Fine, has been present in the courtroom to support his wife. Before the jury entered the courtroom May 13, Combs' defense team attempted to prevent Fine from being present for witness testimony.

Prosecutors told jurors that, for years, Combs used his status as a powerful executive to coerce women into abusive sexual encounters and became violent if they refused.
