Black Friday is now an increasingly digital experience that has morphed into a weekend-long shopping period, culminating in Travel Tuesday and in some cases lasting even longer.

American shoppers spent a record $11.8 billion online on Black Friday, up 9.1% from last year, final data from Adobe Analytics showed.
