UK on Flood Alert: Month of Rain to Fall in 24 Hours
"Danger to Life" Amber Weather Warning Issued Across the UK :warning: A month's worth of rain is set to fall in just 24 hours as the Met Office warns of life-threatening floods across South Wales, with impacts stretching into England and Scotland.
"Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water," the alert on the UK government's website warns. Alongside the six warnings in areas where "flooding is expected", 58 alerts are currently in place in areas where "flooding is possible".
Tributaries in North Derbyshire: Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Rivers Derwent, Wye and Noe in North Derbyshire including Grinds Brook, Peakshole Water, Bradwell Brook, Stoke Brook, Bar Brook, Tideswell Brook, Warney Brook, Bentley Brook, Via Gellia and Lea Brook.
