With Google's original iteration of the feature, users could even transmit files over mobile data — and it looks like the setting is now making its way to the unified Quick Share app.

Quick Share is still missing one feature With QR code support and mobile data integration, Google wants to make using Quick Share for file transfer as seamless as possible.

Nearby Share had a "use mobile data" toggle, but this button was removed when the feature was renamed to Quick Share. This could return soon.
