FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross provides exclusive analysis on the track of Tropical Storm Melissa which formed Tuesday morning in the Central Caribbean Sea. Melissa is expected to develop into hurricane and could be a long-lived storm, but its ultimate track remains highly uncertain.

The National Hurricane Center now projects that Melissa will strengthen into a major hurricane in the central Caribbean.

Heavy rain is already spreading north Wednesday as Melissa moves at a snail’s pace toward Jamaica and Haiti.
