TORONTO — Easton Cowan’s time in the NHL is done for now. The rookie Maple Leafs winger was sent to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on Wednesday after 10 games to start the season.

While Cowan is one of Toronto’s top trade assets outside of established NHL veterans, Kypreos made it clear that moving the up-and-coming rookie is not on the table. “Many teams will come calling for Easton Cowan, which is a non-starter for now,” Kypreos wrote.
Once Woll is ready to play games, he'll likely get a couple of starts with the Marlies on a conditioning loan.
