Heat advisory and air quality alert has been issued for the Lower Hudson Valley July 25 as heat index levels are predicted to reach over 105 degrees.

Much of the U.S. is under extreme heat warnings or advisories while New York, Philadelphia and Washington could feel like 100 degrees or more.

On Wednesday at 12:24 p.m. the National Weather Service released an updated heat advisory valid for Thursday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga and Tompkins counties.
