AN appeal has been issued by police for witnesses to come forward following a fail-to-stop crash. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon near to a major motorway roundabout junction in Warrington.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and the vehicle was later found abandoned on Mellerstain Drive.
