Texas Tech football coach Joey McGuire has agreed to a new contract that will run through the 2032 season and average at least $6.8 million per year, a Tech athletics spokesman said on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent letters to Texas universities that are members of the biggest collegiate conferences to urge them not to sign an agreement that would waive their right to legally challenge any punishments issued by a newly formed enforcement agency for college sports.
