Police have not released the individuals’ identities to the public, nor have they released their official causes of death. Frankston City Mayor Kris Bolam JP said the two men were “swept from the Frankston Pier during extreme wind conditions,” according to a statement shared on the Frankston City Council’s Facebook page.
West Australians have been issued with heatwave warnings, with small parts near the Drysdale River National Park tipped to see “extreme” conditions. Northern Interior and South Interior districts have also been warned to “take care of yourself and others” despite heatwave warnings being cancelled on Tuesday.
