As the UK Parliament today debates Russian influence in UK politics, officials warn the country is locked in a “grey zone war” with the Kremlin.

The UK–India free trade deal came under cross-party criticism in Parliament, with MPs questioning its balance, impact on British jobs and labour protections, and warning that its benefits for the UK may take years to materialise.

The Business and Trade Committee is meeting next week to determine “how we might or might not take this investigation forward.”

Dr Mendonça said: “Algorithmic management that prioritises speed over safety, combined with limited accountability, is pushing gig workers towards risky road behaviours. It is as important to strengthen regulation as it is to ensure that algorithms managing gig work prioritise the health and safety of workers and other road users.”
