BOSTON –– Despite a fiery start, the Boston Bruins lost their footing in the third period and ultimately fell 6-2 to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday at TD Garden.
Zachary Bolduc scored to give the Canadiens the lead as Montreal scored four goals in a five-minute span to snap a third-period tie and run away from the Boston Bruins 6-2 on Tuesday night.
The Bruins have lost four of their last five games. That has not happened since October when they dropped six straight. They outplayed the Vancouver Canucks in Saturday’s 5-4 shootout setback. But their three other losses were all legitimate: 6-2 to the Minnesota Wild, 3-1 to the Edmonton Oilers, 6-2 to the Senators.
BOSTON -- The Montreal Canadiens scored five straight goals, including four in the third period, and defeated the Boston Bruins 6-2 at TD Garden on Tuesday.
Don Sweeney and the Bruins decided to make what looks like one final roster move ahead of the NHL's Christmas break.
Kastelic and Jeannot were back on the third line in the Bruins’ 5-4 shootout loss to the Canucks, and the results were mixed.
For all of the talk of Tuesday's game against Montreal being a "must-win", the Bruins didn't validate that urgency on the ice.
