One day after New York City Comptroller and current Democratic mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested at federal immigration court, two members of the state's congressional delegation say they were denied access for an oversight visit Wednesday.

Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said Wednesday that they were denied access to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office inside a New York immigration court building, where New York City Comptroller Brad Lander was arrested the day before.

New York City comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested by federal agents on Tuesday at a Manhattan immigration court. Lander was escorting a defendant out of the building following his hearing when ICE agents approached to detain the man Lander was assisting.
