Celebrity Beyond’s Oct. 26 itinerary will visit the Western Caribbean rather than the Eastern Caribbean, according to the cruise line’s parent company, Royal Caribbean Group. The ship will visit Costa Maya in Mexico, Belize and Roatan, Honduras.

(WKYT) - Vacationers from Kentucky are being forced to evacuate Jamaica as Hurricane Melissa moves toward the island. Hurricane Melissa intensified to a category 5 storm Monday morning. It could be the strongest storm to hit the island since record-keeping began in 1851.

A fast-developing storm was expected to bring “unprecedented” amounts of rain to several countries, meteorologists said.

More than 1,000 non-essential military personnel, family members and residents, along with their pets, are flying to Naval Air Station Pensacola from Naval Station Guantanamo Bay ahead of the impending Hurricane Melissa.
