Eddie Murphy clocks in for a comedic heist caper with The Pickup, but has he actually shown up to goof around with Pete Davidson?

The Pickup is a 2025 American heist action-comedy film produced and directed by Tim Story and written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows. The film stars Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer and Pete Davidson and is set to be released by Amazon MGM Studios on Amazon Prime Video.

Murphy gets in some good zings, Davidson can play endearingly obtuse, and Keke Palmer can’t help but be charismatic. But neither the script nor Story’s direction really gives anyone much of a chance to shine.
