PARIS, Jan 8 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday dismissed President-elect Donald Trump's interest in taking over Greenland, saying it was "obviously not a good" idea and that it would not happen.

The president-elect said the United States needed the island, which is a semiautonomous part of Denmark, for national security reasons. But there are other possible interests.
