The rideshare company announced the move earlier in September a s part of a narrowing of its product offerings and a refocus of its strategy.

Lyft announced that it would be stopping some services in D.C. this October. In a news release published at the beginning of, Lyft outlined its future plans for bikes, e-bikes, scooters and more. The release said that Lyft is discontinuing its dockless scooters in the District.
