Manchester United have finally agreed a deal to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, a report has confirmed. Having failed with two bids—£55 million ($73.8 million) and then £62.5 million ($83.8 million)—progress on this deal appeared to grind to a halt before United submitted a third offer on Thursday which met Brentford’s asking price.
Manchester United have made a £69m former player of Ruben Amorim’s their ‘main target’ after completing the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The Red Devils have made just two signing so far this summer with Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves for £62.5m, while Diego Leon joined from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno for £3.3m.

It had been a dismal campaign, United’s worst finish in the top flight (15th) since they were relegated in the 1973-74 season and without the consolation of a cup win after Amorim’s side were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
