Colin Firth stars in a new Peacock series about the deadly terror attack on Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.

A new Peacock mini-series dramatizes a father’s obsessive investigation into Britain’s worst terrorist attack: the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.

The series ends by giving us an update on the true story the series is based on. On a black screen texts pops up and reveals Abdelbaset al-Megrahi is still the only person to be convicted of the bombing and his family continue their fight to clear his name.

“Lockerbie: A Search for Truth,” streaming Jan. 2 on Peacock, examines the multiple cover-ups and investigations in that disaster’s wake. Much of it led by Colin Firth’s Dr. Jim Swire whose daughter Flora was among those murdered. He was elected to speak for the families of the UK victims.
