If you haven’t looked outside, it’s getting a bit windy. Residents in the Miami Valley are in the dark as the remnants of Helene pass through the area. As of 6:53 a.m., 209 AES Ohio customers are without power.

Georgia Power is making final preparations for rebuilding efforts for Hurricane Helene, including over 10,000 personnel already on the ground. Georgia Power has also mobilized crews from 35 states to assist in the recovery process,

Officials with Alabama Power say they are fully prepared to support restoration efforts wherever needed after Hurricane Helene moves through.
