There is little good and lots of bad to take away from an overall ugly rout of the New Orleans Saints at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took advantage of four New Orleans Saints turnovers in a 23-3 win against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. Buccaneers linebacker Anthony Nelson logged two of those takeaways in the first half. He knocked the ball out of Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler’s hands at the end of a 7-yard scramble.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to bounce back with a vengeance from their second loss of the 2025 NFL season last week to the Detroit Lions by dominating the New Orleans Saints on both sides of the football in Week 8.

With the offense mired in a rut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints turned to their rookie quarterback.

If this isn't rock bottom, it's as close as it gets. A midgame quarterback change couldn't save the New Orleans Saints in Week 8's loss to Tampa Bay:

This makes eight turnovers in the last eight quarters for the Saints, four in a lopsided loss in Chicago and now 4 in a lopsided loss to the Bucs.
