Patrols have increased at Villanova since a student reported being raped by an Uber driver on campus, but police have offered no updates.

The student said she got an Uber to The Commons residence hall complex, where the driver followed her inside and raped her.

Police said patrols had increased last week but have not provided any new information about the alleged attack.

A female Villanova student reported to campus officials she was raped by a rideshare driver after he dropped her off near a dormitory on campus.

School officials say it happened overnight on Sept. 13 inside the Commons residence hall complex. According to officials, the student reported that the Uber driver dropped her off outside her dorm before entering the building and assaulting her.
