Michigan football appeared to shooting a shot over the SEC's bow with two commitments in short order from the state of Tennessee. One never made it to campus and the other never really saw the field.

We knew that the Michigan football team was going to go after offensive linemen in the transfer portal, and they got one here. Lawrence Hattar is the second offensive lineman in this transfer portal class as the Wolverines also landed a commitment from Cal Poly transfer Brady Norton.

Michigan football is adding some help along the offensive line, and he comes from the Division II national champions. Lawrence Hattar, a 6-foot-5, 335-pound offensive lineman at Ferris State, committed to the Wolverines in a social media post on Sunday.

Lawrence Hattar was not a big name in the transfer portal, whatsoever. The Livonia, Mich. native has played for Division II Ferris State since 2022, but at 6-foot-5, 335 pounds, he’s a big body at a position of need along the interior offensive line.
