Severe weather disrupted holiday travel on Saturday across the U.S. with deadly tornadoes in the southeast and heavy snow and wind on the west coast, delaying or canceling thousands of flights across the country.

Power remained out to more than 200,000 homes and businesses Sunday in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

A series of tornadoes in the Southeast over the weekend left at least four dead across three states. The storms also left thousands without power.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating an incident involving a plane at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, which one passenger described as a rough landing that sparked flames.
