An MTA employee was punched in a random, unprovoked attack in a subway station in Harlem on Friday afternoon, police say. The 66-year-old employee was on the job at the Harlem -148 Street subway station around 1 p.

The MTA worker, 66, was on duty and on the platform at Harlem’s W. 148th St.-Lenox Ave. station when a stranger punched her in the face Friday afternoon, police said.

A man was arrested in connection to the unprovoked attack of an on-duty MTA worker in Harlem Friday afternoon, the NYPD announced. Paul Hinton, 36, was taken into custody at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and charged with assault in the second degree.
