With the score tied, 4-4, Caballero led off the ninth with a high one-chopper to second baseman Thomas Saggese. Well aware of Caballero’s speed, Saggese rushed his throw and hurled it wide of first base, allowing Caballero to go to second base.

But the Yankees tied it back up in the seventh, as Grisham walked (with some help from home plate umpire Nic Lentz, whose strike zone angered both teams all day), Judge singled and Bellinger lifted a sacrifice fly that made it 4-4.
