A driver has died after a crash near the Highway 50 and Interstate 80 junction in West Sacramento early Monday morning.

The crash on westbound I-80 occurred about 3:35 a.m., according to Officer Nick Helfrich, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol’s Woodland office. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Helfrich said.

A vehicle reportedly overturned in a crash on eastbound Interstate 80 in Foothill Farms on Monday afternoon. Emergency crews were dispatched around 3:20 p.m. to reports of a crash involving at least two vehicles near Greenback Lane.
